Last week, I wrote a post about spending Black Friday at the Grand America hotel in Salt Lake City. As part of that post, I offered up a signed book called “Maurice Travels” as a giveaway simply for writing in the comments “What unique destination are you planning on going to in 2014?”.

The winner of that book is reader Mel who was picked through a random drawing. Their plan in 2014 is “I’m planning 2 weeks in Alaska driving around the Grand loop. I want to show my husband the Ice Museum and go to the North Pole. We will be going to Midnight baseball on the Summer Solstice.” Congratulations Mel!
