This morning we experienced a 5.7 magnitude earthquake that was felt throughout Utah.

The damage has caused the Salt Lake City International Airport to close. UPDATE 12:54 PM – the Salt Lake airport is back open again
Road to the airport has been closed. Please do not come out to the airport

The airport is not currently operational. The FAA tower, terminals and concourses have been evacuated. The road to the airport has been opened, so that passengers can be picked-up.

Airport facilities are structurally sound. General aviation and cargo will be allowed to arrive and depart. More information on commercial flights will be available later.
