There’s something about having your birthday. People congratulate you, the jokes about you having one foot in the grave fly around, and you can enjoy free food from restaurants.

Any restaurant worth anything has some sort of e-club or a way to sign up for promotional emails. I always sign up for these and give out my spam email address so they can spam me to death. When it’s my birthday month, I go into my spam email and do a search for birthday to fish out the excellent offers.

Thus far I have a up to $30 coupon for Benihanas, a free 1/3 lb burger at Fuddruckers, a free noodle bowl at Noodles and Company, free dessert for two at Melting Pot, and a free medium drink at Sonic.
