BYU versus Oklahoma at Texas Stadium

I had the pleasure and privilege to attend the BYU versus Oklahoma game at Texas Stadium. We were staying at the Gaylord Texan hotel, about 6 minutes from DFW airport. We left for the game at 3:30 thinking that it would be plenty of time to reach the stadium and participate in some of the tailgating.

The traffic there was horrendous. It took us an hour and a half to get to our parking spot. The first thought in my head was how many Oklahoma Sooner fans there were. I realized that there would be a lot of fans, but not this many.

We walked up to the doors to enter and there was just a sea of red everywhere. We entered the door and it was spectacular. This place is HUGE.

Invalid request error occurred.

We had tickets on the 50 yard line, 5 rows up. I have never had seats this good at any type of game. It was just incredible.

BYU blew so many chances, I was sure they were going to lose the game. The last drive by Max Hall was epic. BYU actually has a chance for a BCS bowl now.

The most impressive thing to me on the way out was the classiness of the Oklahoma fans. There were no threats to fight or anything. They acutally offered congratulations to us and wished us luck for the rest of the season. Can you imagine that happening after a U of U game? Never!
