Review of the Grand America Executive Suite
Dinner and breakfast

The Grand America in Salt Lake is known as the premier getaway in the valley. We were lucky enough to have scored a free night’s stay during Black Friday and just in time for our 15th wedding anniversary.

It was a snowy day and the traffic was a bit heavy trying to get to the Grand America. We finally pulled into the underground parking lot and went to the check in desk. The decor in the Grand America is really amazing. They also have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby from time to time.

The location of the Grand America is just slightly away from downtown Salt Lake but right near the light rail station, TRAX. You can ride TRAX for free from the Grand America to downtown. There are two main shopping districts in Salt Lake downtown – the Gateway and City Creek, both reachable with TRAX.

We received our room key, which is an actual grooved key rather than a plastic keycard. As you walk in there are two gigantic rooms. The first room has a full couch, two sitting chairs, a desk, and a large TV

It has been at least 8 years since the last time I stayed at the Grand America hotel, and I was throughly impressed with the upscale nature of the hotel. The rooms still feel brand new and very ornate. The entire hotel was built with luxury in mind and we had a great fifteenth anniversary at the Grand America.
