I’m heading to Bozeman, Montana

As my kids have a Fall break from school, I’ve been looking for places somewhat nearby to take a half week vacation to. As luck would have it, it was the same time when IHG released their Rewards Club PointsBreak list where you can book properties for 5,000 Priority Club points a night. As I scanned the list, the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bozeman West caught my eye.

I’ve never been to Montana but it’s only a seven hour drive away so why not go there?

I checked the website and there was plenty of availability left.

I was able to grab a 1 Bedroom Executive Suite for 4 nights for 20,000 Priority Club Points.

On the way up to Bozeman, we’ll be stopping at the Burger Bar in Roy, Utah featured in Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives to grab some Big Bens.

Have anyone of you been to Bozeman and if so, can you suggest activities to do and places to eat?

  1. I recommend going to a sapphire mine and going through a few bags of mine leftovers for sapphires. Kids seem to love finding gemstones.

  2. I live in BZN. Montana ale works has great food and beer and a fantastic kids menu if you have little ones. Also recommend Blackbird Kitchen or the newest restaurant Open Range. Bozeman has a thriving downtown with lots of great shops. Enjoy!

  3. Grew up in Montana!

    1. Go to a Cats football game. They LOVE their football in Montana
    2. Visit Yellowstone if you have time.
    3. Hot springs
    4. Mackenzie River Pizza. used to even have one here in Vegas.
    5. If it’s ski season hit Big Sky or Bridger Bowl. The best ski area in America you have never heard of. Bis Sky is beautiful all times of the year. maybe a little slow if ski season is not open.
    6. The Garage Soup shack. Great food!
    7. Too cold, but amazing fly fishing and white water rafting
    8. Museuum of the Rockies
    9. Checkout MSU
    10. Take 3 hour drive to the Little Big Horn Battlefield. One of the cooler things I have ever done. Not as pretty a drive as the wets part of the state, but worth it I’d say.

    Good luck and have fun

  4. the dinosaur museum is cool, otherwise it’s just a regular western town. Most of the fun stuff is in yellowstone. It can be done in a day trip as it’s about 2 hours away
